PSA to fans of Yakety Sax - Clemson vs NC State
According to the National Hurricane Center, the remnants of Hurricane Ian will be passing very near Clemson during the Clemson vs. NC State game. For lovers of horrendous football when not being played by Michigan at Notre Dame in 2008, this will be a real treat. Although this game is probably on the chopping block, if it's played we will be exposed to maximum chaos. Enjoy!
To anyone who lives in the Tampa Bay area, I hope you are able to avoid any and all dangers of the hurricane.

Another one of these games, perhaps?

I live in Raleigh and thought it was insane when they went through with that game.

I’m disappointed we won’t get to see Brian Kelly try to throw 30 times during a monsoon again

Good call gameday. Well I guess can’t do SEC 7 Kentucky vs 14 Ole Miss this week when they probably do 2 Bama vs 17 A&M next week and 2 Bama vs 8 Tenn the following week

Maybe Tennessee will lose so we can have College Gameday vs. Penn State.

They could easily do that regardless. They don’t always pick the highest rank matchup.

GameDay was at Tennessee just last week.
They could go back but twice in one spot in one year is fairly unusual. I think AA on 10-15 is likely to happen.

As a Nashville resident and UT hater, this "Tennessee might not be a complete joke this season" development is quite annoying. They're probably a 9 win team this season, maybe 10, but it is supremely annoying that ESS EEE SEE means that's good enough for a NY6 bowl.

My son’s name is Ian. He’s having a great time with this.

I hope he's like 5.

I admit that after Hurricane Rita many years ago, we used that moniker in the office for a coworker whose surname was Rita. Our facilities had a single toilet men's room and let me just say we had "weather alert" emails regarding the "atmosphere & safety" of the area in the aftermath of the daily storm as it were.

Not that it’s going to be pleasant by any means, but I live about two and a half northeast of Clemson (Charlotte area) and the last I heard we were expecting 30-40 mph winds and rain, they may be in the 35-45 range. So not ideal football conditions by any stretch but luckily they aren’t attempting to play in actual hurricane conditions.

I remember back in the day when Hurricane Isabel rolled through (2003). The VT game against T A&M still drew 62,000 in driving rain and 40mph wind gusts. 'Twas a fun game to watch, but I lost power at halftime. Woke up in the morning to 7 downed trees, but no real damage - so it was all good. Didn't have power for another 5 days, though...

This may make the last ND v Michigan game look like a light spring rain.

NC State has some experience in stormy weather and yakety sax games at least.
