Previous Vets of the game?

Submitted by HarmonHowardWoodson on October 7th, 2019 at 9:43 PM

Does anyone know if there is an easy way to find details on the vets of the games so far this year? With video is even better.

I did a couple Google searches and can find videos from random games in past years but nothing that shows them in one place.

I figured while I keep looking I'd ask because someone here might know.

Thanks!

Who picks vet of the game?

To me an obvious one would be Gen James McDivitt

Korean War pilot,  Test Pilot,  Group 2 astronaut,  Commander of the all Michigan Gemini 4 crew.  Commander Apollo 9

The WWII vets always bring me to the brink of tears. If I allowed myself I would cry out of a mix of many strong emotions.

Some of the men they've honored were absolutely incredible.  The man on Saturday who enlisted at age 15, fought in the Battle of the Bulge, was captured by the Germans, and ended up with all these medals was amazing.  I think last year they honored the Vietnam helicopter pilot who ended up being awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for flying his chopper in to heavy enemy fire repeadedly to save more men.  Then a number of years ago they had a guy who survived the Bataan death march.

I'm really in awe of what these military men and women accomplished in the varios wars.  The Veteran of the Game  has become one of my favorite parts ofcthe gameday experience.

Not sure how you could be negged on this.  My plus one brought you back to even.

I agree with previous comments, love that portion of the game.
