Poll: Worst reffing mistake in Michigan sports this weekend

Submitted by Drill on
So which ref error do you think was the worst this weekend? 1) Flagrant foul on Manny Harris, kicking him out of the game. 2) Notre Dame's "goal" on the angled skate 3) Blowing the play dead when we were about to score with 25 seconds or whatever left 4) Other (specify)

I didn't get to watch the hockey game, but my mom did and she told me it was bullshit. I saw the replay of the Manny elbow on ESPN and looked pretty weak to me. Def not intentional, maybe call a foul. Ejection is way too much.

Aaron's inadvertent whistle will make people forget about the Hochuli fiasco. Seriously though, absolutely no excuse for inadvertent whistles at this level of officiating. The fact that it came at such a crucial moment in the game is all the more maddening. CCHA officials have been absolutely terrible from the games i've seen this year.

I'm going to say the ejection. That was a bunch of shit fuck. you should never ever ever ever ever get thrown out for something like that. It's part of the game. There should have been an offensive foul and an injury time out, that's it.

Sometimes officials used poor judgement. Other times officials make a call that is "WTF! That is a BS call! How can you do that!" where it is like they are TRYING to screw another team over. That incident last night was an example of the latter.

After some of the stuff UM has had to take in the Rose Bowl when playing the road game against USC, this is just the usual crap. Which was the worst in history? The phantom TD or the bogus holding call on the successful fake punt in Bo's last game? Anybody read the paperback version of Bo's bio where Bo says he walked past the refs locker room and heard the ref bragging about the call? He heard the ref who threw the flag say "there's no way I was gonna let that SOB win his last game here." Same shit, different day. And I still can't figure out who UM pissed off.

I'm going with Manny's ejection, mostly because it was initially just a foul until the refs saw blood, and then decided to eject him. The disallowed goal pissed me right off, though, too. Puck was clearly loose on the replay.
