Pizza Bowl President Lloyd Carr won't comment
"The university has a process in place to deal with this issue," Carr said when asked to comment on the U-M situation. "It's better for people in charge of the process to speak for the university."

I can just see the look on Lloyd's face when he said that.
I wonder if the reporter had the audacity to ask a follow-up: "Would you care to comment as an impartial observer?"
Can you imagine the look that question would have gotten?

Quite possibly the dumbest comment I've seen all week. If Rod goes down, so will all his assistants. Do you honestly think UM, if it fired Rod, would turn over its program to one of Rich Rod's assistants, considering the only one with head coaching experience is Greg Robinson, who completely flamed out at Syracuse?

I think the worst thing in this situation is to make all these comments then have the investigation come up with something, anything. That would question everybody's statements previously and undermine everyone's reputation. Definitely better for everyone to just keep a tight lip on it and get this story out of the news ASAP.
