Bring PEP back home to A2!!!!
October 15th, 2019 at 9:40 AM ^
Why? So we can bitch about him and demand he get fired?
October 15th, 2019 at 9:47 AM ^
Because our athletic department still has a lot of excess funding to throw around.
October 15th, 2019 at 10:02 AM ^
Because he came off well in the Amazon series.

The dumbest thing was so many people here talking about how great Pep must be solely based off of whaf the Amazon series showed.

Look, I know he's going to hear about the playing school thing forever, but this is just cruel...

He was assigned to DC, not drafted.
Jones said Hamilton’s track record of developing quarterbacks made signing with D.C. “a no-brainer.”
He has done better with Shea than anyone else so far, so...
Also this:
In February, Hamilton described his offense as “an attacking, fast-paced style of play that will feature the playmakers that we have on the team.”

So the polar opposite of what we saw during his tenure at U of M?
October 15th, 2019 at 9:49 AM ^
He's not under the thumb of Harbaugh anymore.
October 15th, 2019 at 10:13 AM ^
He told anyone who would listen that this was Harbaugh's offense.
October 15th, 2019 at 10:33 AM ^
If he does those things, it’ll be a first.
They weren’t fast paced at Stanford when he was OC, they weren’t fast paced in Indianapolis when he was OC there, they weren’t fast paced at Michigan when he was here.

I always felt Andrew Luck underperformed in Indy under Pep's tutelage
October 15th, 2019 at 12:32 PM ^
so pep is now #speedinspace?
October 15th, 2019 at 2:36 PM ^
Under Pep Hamilton's tutelage, Andrew Fucking Luck regressed mightily.
Under Pep Hamilton's tutelage, Michigan's offense regressed mightily (disclaimer: Speight obviously died at Iowa, and it's hard to coach a zombie). The "this is Harbaugh's offense" argument hold no water: other OCs have been able to make it dynamic and interesting.
He's *on record* as preferring to only take one deep shot per quarter.
So yeah, the next time that Pep does anything fast-paced and attacking...will be the first time.
However, I have no trouble believing that we'll see a lot of the featured RB attacking the middle of a defensive line just waiting for him...

Shoot look what Greg Roman is doing with Lamar Jackson in Baltimore. I don’t think he was a favorite when his name was being brought up around here for a job, but he’s doing very well

In the third round of the Skill-Position phase of the 2019 XFL Draft, with the 21st overall pick, the Tampa Bay Vipers select De’Veon Smith, running back, University of Michigan. LINK

Happy to see it.I hope he makes some cash.

I actually may watch if there are a lot of UM players that get a shot in this league
