OT_Lions Caldwell uses preventative discipline off field issues
Sorry, but until they prove otherwise, I can only see them as the same old Lions.
"From Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon’s most recent failed drug test to Ravens running back Ray Rice’s domestic violence case and ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith’s ill-advised comments about Rice’s wife, Caldwell provides what he calls “preventive medicine” for players as a reminder of how to represent themselves and the Lions away from the field."
One of the things that I have always felt to be missing from the Lions organization is the cultural underpinnings of a winning culture, one that runs smoothly from the top down to the field. You can have all the talent in the world and without ithout a common direction you'll only do so well. That's sort of why I like this move by Caldwell in showing the team as a whole and at the same time what you should avoid. It's a nice first step, one of many culturally for the team.
