Ya don't say?
I have been kind to Human Element thus far but to create the post while I am simply trying to close a drop down window that will not go away....!!
C'mon man. It's the human element! You probably also want computers to call balls and strikes.
Now that you're done blaming software, maybe you could tell us what you had intended to say in your OP?
I'm sure if you do everyone will forgive your blunder and let you make your point oh wait this is MGoBlog you're totally gonna get negged.
See a bit below..I type slowly.
Only a poor craftsman blames his tools.
Here is some pretty great IU schadenfreude:
83 top-500 players (per @247Sports composite) are committed to B1G teams. Here's each school's share of that load:
— Scott Bell (@sbell021) July 28, 2019
Michigan: 21.68%
OSU: 20.48%
PSU: 15.66%
Iowa, Nebraska, N'Western, Purdue: 6.02%
Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Wisco: 3.61%
Indiana: 2.40%
MSU: 1.20%
Rutgers: 0%
Rutger
there's only one
Look closer... it's MSU.
Rutger can't even recruit the "s" at the end of its supposed name. I don't know what the conference honestly expected when they extended this invite....
2 observations:
1. Wisconsin is recruiting wayyyyyy worse than I would expect given their record over the last 10 years or so.
2. Illinois is recruiting wayyyyyy better than I would expect. lol
Jokes on you!!!
Solid analysis.
I farted
I thought you told me it was the dog!
Go BEAVERS!!
MSU, OSU and PSU schadenfreude? Linky linky?
Other MGoBloggers’ posting issues/schadenfreude
What I was GOING to post was that apparently - much like the millionaire bemoaning the flat tire on their Ferrari - OSU fans are freaking out over the impending loss of not 1 but 2 top tier running backs in the 2020 class.
Apparently both Bijan Robinson (RB from AZ #20 overall) and Jaylan Knigton (top 100 APB from FLA) have gone from OSU “locks” to almost surely NOT verballing to OSU in the last week. They have had to settle for only (another) top 170 OLB adding to their top 4 class.
Part of me thinks it may be the fact that they threw over 70 times in a game on a team featuring 2 future NFL RB’s being an influence.........but I HOPE that Robinson (rumored to USC now) had a chat with Urban Meyer about both of their futures.....
In other news..... MSU lost another 3 star (DT) to Cincinnati last Friday and currently have ONE recruit ranked in the top 500 nationally. That represents 1.2% of such recruits committed to the B1G ahead of only Rutgers at 0.0%. (Credit Scott Bell Twitter). I know Marky D loves to coach ‘em up but this is a big step down even for MSU.
MSU recruiting is weird. The one year it was good they raped their way across campus and all got kicked out. Roiding out low level recruits with a bad attitude seems more Mork's speed.
Poor OSU fans
Link on OSU
Not much schadenfreude here. Just next ones down the list.
Sure would be nice to get Toafili to UM.
As I posted here a while back, I think Toafili is the best RB on our board.
Balz all say FSU, but when I asked Sam Webb about it he said we still have a shot.

Mark uses the lack of stars though like fuel for his team. He plays the "dizrespct" card like a genius which is why their team of rejects and also-rans (from a recruiting standpoint) play BALLS OUT when facing us.
Give the devil his due. He may suck donkey dick when it comes to landing recruits but that fucker is Einstein when it comes to motivating his team to play at their very best against when facing Michigan.
I wish we had the same amount of motivation when Michigan plays its main rival.
Mork is a douche, but the douche is a pretty good coach.
Both of your points are on point.
I think's that a myth.
Dantonio's beaten Michigan by fielding good teams. The only times he beat Michigan with a team that won less than 10 games, RR was our coach.
When MSU has had their down years, Dantonio loses to Michigan.
Mork's ill-advised "Spartan Walk" before last year's game didn't work out the way he planned. You can do bullshit like that for only so long before talent regresses folks to the mean.
4-6 years ago, back when Hoke ran the show, I think Dantonio doing his Spartan Walk the way he did would’ve worked and maybe messed a little bit with Michigan’s psyche going into the game. Let’s be honest: the program as a whole was just not as mentally tough then as it is now. And it just wasn’t as good, period. You didn’t have a take no shit leader like Devin Bush who talked the talk AND walked the walk. A team that could match the physicality MSU put on in this game.
Don’t poke the bear, Dantonio.
Dantonio should study film of himself talking about pride coming before the fall. Maybe he can take away something from it.
While this is true, their recruiting is down this year even for them. They usually have a decent number of guys in the 300-600 range, which even though the Starz crew doesn't like to admit it, a lot of good CFB players come from that low 4 star to high 3 star range. Particularly so at MSU since every third guy manages to get a 6th year of eligibility. They usually mix in a few highly ranked guys (almost always from MI/OH - Burbridge, Scott, King, Corley, Williams, Barnett and Dobbs). The 2016 class was a major outlier - his best by composite ranking but suffered attrition for several well documented reasons.
This year they're missing on a lot of the OSU pass overs in Ohio (UK and UC appear to be a big reason why) and are basically in on 2 of the top 20 in Michigan, which is definitely not normal. A lot of those guys are also already committed so "It's only July" doesn't really hold up - hell, Michigan's class is probably going to be 90%+ full if Paige commits on Tuesday.
I'm not saying their program is about fall into oblivion, but if Dantonio does retire in the next couple of years with a couple of classes like this to leave his successor...could be some dark times.
Yeah, just to add a little perspective to MSU's class, they have 12 commits. Their 2nd highest would rank #19 in our class. Bear in mind that our average rating is not particularly high.
Meanwhile, MSU doesn't have a single CB for an uncommitted 4* recruit.
They tend to play well against Ohio State too. Honestly, probably better than Michigan does.... (cries)
Not so much anymore: Sparty has lost 4 of the last 5 to OSU with 3 losses by double digits. This year will probably be another ugly loss.
AZ, this was definitely worth the wait and the humiliation. I thought they had 2 elite RB locks to torture us for years to come, and now I see that I thought wrongly!
Robinson CB's are 14% Texas, 36% Undecided, and still 50% OSU. I agree it seems like something has changed, but it could all be recruiting hijinks for suspense. And there's no CB's for USC.
Also, lol Sparty.
All the relevant predictions moved off of OSU on Robinson. The rest are follow the leader types.
If they are doing it for suspense they must be willing to risk losing subscribers because I went over to Bucknuts and they have about 8 threads ripping everyone from the coaches, 247 staff for misleading them, and the kids / bagmen that must be involved.
That is where I saw USC mentioned and maybe I got overexcited imagining the Angaar and conspiracy theories that would be generated if both Robinson and Meyer ended at USC in 2020.
The idea that OSU fans would be complaining about losing recruits due to bagmen is both comical and sad.
So, Cincinnati is out-recruiting MSU? And they put cinnamon in chili, so they’ve got that going for them too . . .
It's only July. All of the so-called commitments right now are just recruits saying that a team is their favorite at this time. Many recruits will watch how the 2019 season goes for their favorite teams. Long way to go until signing day.
This would be so sweet if true regarding OSU. Some nut was commenting recently-ridiculing Michigan because of how far ahead they would be after Bijan and Jaylen committed.
Who was the kid who turned down a spartoon schollie to walk on at Northwestern?
That was classic.
FAIL.....
So, I guess everything is going perfect, good thing stars don't matter :)
Completely agree with what you said there.
