OT: Wings Vs. Bruins Game 3
Game 3 Tonight for the Red Wings. First home playoff game for Detroit of the 2014 playoffs.

Daniel Alfredsson is out. In is Jokiam Andersson. This will be his first game played in the 2014 playoffs. Andersson played 14 games last year as a rookie.
Jakub Kindl replaces Alfredsson at the point, along with Danny DeKeyser) on the second power-play unit (joining Tomas Tatar, Riley Sheahan and Jurco).

Wouldn't bet on it. "There's just not a lot out there," has been a pretty regular summer refrain from the Wings' front office. I am very confident in the future as far as the developing forwards go, but they're going to have to come off some pieces to bring in an elite defenseman in if they want to compete for a Cup. Giving up Jarnkrok to get Legwand while doing nothing to shore up the defense was a bit of a head-scratcher.
will be a bit more serious about a rebuild this summer. Lot of old guys are FA's Alfredson, Bertuzzi, Cleary. No reason to pick them up again.
They have reasonable cap space to do something, but I wouldn't expect a big signing. Not really any big time names available this summer.
I would love to see Vanek in Detroit if the price is right. He can be that elite right handed shot we've been missing since Shannahan.
