OT: Wings Hawks. Howard left the game
Injury bug is hitting us hard right now. I guess at least it's good timing, with time to rest up before the playoffs.
Howard didn't look too bad on the bench, and given that he's on the bench I think he would still be available to go back in if MacDonald were to get hurt. I'm hoping he just reaggravated that finger injury and it's nothing too bad.
IDK bro. I'm a Wings fan and I love the Mule but Hossa is a much better player IMO. Dude's slept on but he's good.
Howard- Lower body, will not return
Kindl- Upper Body- will not return
That was one of the better fights I've seen in the past couple years. Those were some haymakers.
Like the way Brendan Smith has been playing.
Kindl left with an "upper body injury." We'll probably hear something as specific about Howard in the 2nd intermission. - Edit: beaten to the punch. That's what I get for typing a long post.
Wings' depth is being tested. Lidstrom, still out with an ankle bone bruise, has missed just under two games per season for his career - pretty amazing.
Good to see Filppula break the 20-goal mark last game - 21 goals is a new career high. Hope he keeps it going with Datsyuk out.
Brendan Smith has been looking pretty good - just got into a fight.
Hopefully one of these pucks that keep hitting the posts will finally go in for the Wings.
We really need to score here. I don't want to get into desperation time.
Get well soon, Datsyuk, Lidstrom & Howard!
Those are probably the three players we can spare the most. We'll be playing great hockey without any of those three on the ice, it's not like they're the core of the team or something like that.
Those 3 are particularly important, especially since Franzen is playing like a bum lately. We have a ton of salary cap room for over the summer, so I would expect us to make some sort of move.
I would love to see Zach Parise in Hockeytown.
less playmakers, I'd love to have a pure goal scorer.
With how competitive the Central Division has been this year, I personally would prefer to have all hands on deck this time of year. Considering we just set the record for longest home winning streak, I'd like to lock up home ice advantage for the playoffs.
