OT: Wings Hawks. Howard left the game

Submitted by TheDirtyD on
Jimmy Howard started the game in goal for Detroit. He didnt not take thte ice for the start of the second. Game is tied 1-1 13:44 left. I assume Howard left for an injury. Anyone have any idea what the injury is? Also Kindl is hurt as well he left the game sometime in the 1st

Injury bug is hitting us hard right now. I guess at least it's good timing, with time to rest up before the playoffs.

Howard didn't look too bad on the bench, and given that he's on the bench I think he would still be available to go back in if MacDonald were to get hurt. I'm hoping he just reaggravated that finger injury and it's nothing too bad.

Kindl left with an "upper body injury."  We'll probably hear something as specific about Howard in the 2nd intermission. - Edit: beaten to the punch.  That's what I get for typing a long post.

Wings' depth is being tested.  Lidstrom, still out with an ankle bone bruise, has missed just under two games per season for his career - pretty amazing.

Good to see Filppula break the 20-goal mark last game - 21 goals is a new career high.  Hope he keeps it going with Datsyuk out.

Brendan Smith has been looking pretty good - just got into a fight.

Hopefully one of these pucks that keep hitting the posts will finally go in for the Wings.

I would hope they get somebody like Weber or Parise.it seems like they need a new face of the team after Datysuk and Lidstrom.ill be happy if they let Stuart go.it seems like ever since the 08 finals he makes more mistakes that cost us goals then anybody else.

With how competitive the Central Division has been this year, I personally would prefer to have all hands on deck this time of year. Considering we just set the record for longest home winning streak, I'd like to lock up home ice advantage for the playoffs.
