OT: Who Ya Got for the NBA Finals?
We got 2 Rookie head coaches, Lebron's redemption story and the Splash Bros featuring Riley Curry.
This is actually an interesting match up b/c this series seems pretty wide open to me. I would think the Warriors would win due to their depth, but Lebron n co have been playing on another level since Love went down.
Seeing MGrowOld not be a miserable Cleveland sports fan for once on this board would be quite refreshing too...
And then we got the gif representing what happened to James Harden last game after he set the NBA record for most turnovers in a postseason game at 13.
The Based God/Lil B curse is real folks.
Stats only go so far. Like I said, I think the Cavs physical play will come out the deciding factor. Also, Lebron James.
neat
Since that's an easy way out Cavs in 6.
when two teams from the smaller cities make it.

The Cleveland injuries...
you mean the one guy who is hurting more than most (Kyrie)? Good thing he didn't play most of the series against ATL and good thing he will have had over a week to rest.
it's the Warriors in 5. They simply have too much depth and shooting for the Cavs to overcome. The Warriors are #1 in both offensive and defensive efficiency.
The Cavs will try to hyper trap Curry, but Curry is too good of a ball handler and shooter to get taken out of the game. Beside, Steph basically destroy any defensive gameplan any team put out no matter how good it is because Steph is a damn good shooter.
The Cavs has the best player, but the Dubs have the next 7 best players IMO.
LeBron basically carried the team with a bunch of players that are replacement level (except a motivated JR Smith).
...but hey, LeBron did that as well and he's back in their good graces, no?
Anyways, yes - GO WARRIORS.
With all due recognition that I'm likely the only person here who feels this way and all due love for the MGoClevelanders here, I'm at heart a Laker fan. Was born there, grew up watching the Showtime era as a kid before moving to Cleveland for grade school, purple is my favorite color because of the Laker uniforms, if you give me a number from 1 to 55, I can - without consulting Google - tell you a Laker who wore that number. So, you could say that I'm a fan. The Lakers are to the NBA what Brazil is to FIFA - right down to the yellow uniforms, collusion with the refs and generally obnoxious fanbase - and in this, I embrace my villiany without apology. Lakers uber alles.
How does this matter?
Many of you may remember the aborted Chris Paul trade that was scuttled for 'basketball reasons' - a sketchly rationale that rings about as true as your girlfriend leaving you because she needs space. That aborted trade has played no small part in the Lakers' collective misfortune as of late (though certainly the primary factor has been something familiar to all of us - the team's brain trust finding new and creative ways to shoot itself in the foot) What is generally less known is that Cavs owner Dan Gilbert, fresh off his Comic Sans tantrum and disatrous spearhead of the NBA lockout, whined to David Stern about the Chris Paul trade.
For this and for this alone, I hope Dan Gilbert never experieces true happiness for the rest of his life. I hope that for the remainder of his Cavaliers stewardship, that team finds new and creative ways to fail at winning a title. I hope LeBron leaves them again and wins three more titles with any other team and I don't even particularly care which one, as long as it's not Boston. Dan Gilbert can eat all the bags of all the dicks. The West Remembers.
Plus, he's also an MSU grad.
Dear Kehnonymous:
Here’s another little known fact. Posters with the name Kehnonymous are almost always lying, cheating, sweaty, unattractive LOSERS who hang out in their mom’s basement and don’t own billion dollar home loan companies like successful guys like me. I vow to the readers of this blog that my Cavs will win not one, not two, not three, not four, not five but SIX championships before the Lakers even sniff a playoff berth again.
Your Pal,
Dan
ps: This stupid blog over-rode my comic sans script i chose especially for this post and reverted it to a BORING New Times Roman.

Dear Dan:
This letter really gives the lie to your claims of being a successful billionaire, but I suppose one should expect no less from a Sparty. One would think that a professional businessman would perform his due diligence and hire a professional fact-checker before going half-cocked on a characteristically uninformed rant.
My mother's house does *not* have a basement.
Love,
MGoKehnonymous
