OT: USA NTDP U-18 Team wins Men's U-18 World Championships
They were down 3-1 entering the third period and won 4-3 in overtime. Connor Murphy--a Miami (OH) commitment--had the game winner.
John Gibson was named the Best Goaltender of the Tournament by the Directorate...and earlier this month he was listed as the number 1 ranked North American Goaltender by Central Scouting.
Go USA and Go Blue!
....Gibson is one of Michigan's biggest hockey recruits, this is decidely not OT.
Huge win for the USA and for the NTDP. This is their third straight Gold Medal at the IIHF World U18 Championships.
Woot. The legend of JMFG grows.
Watched most of the game on TSN; Gibson looked pretty consistent.
Here's hoping Gibson makes it onto the U-20 World Juniors squad in a couple years....only to be destroyed by Canada. Any other time I hope Gibson dominates his competition.

Good for them :)
Perhaps we will see Gibson in the WJ soon
My co-workers nephew plays on the team...unfortunately he's committed to State. Oh, well.
