OT: Toledo's Matt Campbell expected to be named as ISU HC
Just posted from the Des Moines Register a few hours ago, didn't see it here yet since a lot of us follow the MAC. Also BCSN/Toledo Blade is confirming
http://www.desmoinesregister.com/story/sports/college/iowa-state/randy-…
So here's the coaching update so far:
Filled: Hawaii, Illinois, VT, Minnesota, ISU
Vacant: Maryland, Missouri, South Carolina, Southern Cal, Miami, Memphis, Syracuse, UCF, Toledo, North Texas, possibly Tulane & Rutgers.
LSU is safe for now for Les. Jimbo is not leaving FSU. Lots of rumors around Strong having a lot of interest to Miami although he denies it (did the same with Louisville when he was considering the Texas job), and of course DJ Durkin impressing Maryland according to the reports.
*Edited to add USC, Missouri, Minnesota, Syracuse, UCF, North Texas, Tulane (multiple reports) & Toledo

Campbell made $495,000 this year. He might get at least what Rhoads made, which is around $2.2 million.
If that's the case, nice raise indeed. According to the article, there was a late play to make Campbell the highest paid coach in the MAC - over and above Fleck - but I doubt it involved potentially matching that sort of money.

Add UVa to the list. London resigned this morning. That effectively mean every major job in the MD/VA area came open this year.

Good guy, recruited well and liked by players.
If John U Bacons book is anything close to accurate, he also had an AD breathing down his neck every week and who left him hung out to dry.
I am sure he learned a lot and would do many things differently. Be a solid choice for some of these openings.
