Good start by Nate so far, but with Maggs and Placido sitting it might be tough to score a lot of runs today. I know Maggs hasn't hit Fausto well, but it seems like his bat is lively again. The option will kick in this year, but right now my focus is just on winning the division.

Nate hasn't given up a run yet. And the reason is the Tigers RBI guys are on the bench today. Maggs, Polanco, even Thames to a certain degree. Instead you have Thomas batting second and Huff swinging at air. Maybe they'll pull it out, but it looks like Fausto isn't going anywhere. His PC is only at 80.

Probably one of the more unlikely guys in the league to walk three times in a game. Walking Everett isn't easy in the first place -- prior to today's game he had 17 walks this season in over 300 plate appearances.

I'm usually not a hind sight is 20-20 guy, but once the tying run came up with Ni on the mound, he's got to be taken out against the righty cabrera. i would have brought in rodney to get the last 4 outs. he only had 13 pitches yesterday. sure enough, base hit. then double by choo to tie the game.

You second-guess like crazy. Ni has been the 2nd most effective middle-releiver on the team after Lyon, who's pitched both of the last 2 days. Ni was the best available option.
