Woods needs to start talking. I heard about a press conference on Tuesday, but he needs to release a statement or something. I have a feeling the details of this thing are going to be ugly.

But Woods doesn't owe us anything regarding his personal life. As long as it doesn't directly affect what he does on the course, he should be allowed to keep his private life private. If it happens at "work" it should be fair game, but this happened at home. But the line is pretty funny.

Part of it happened at home, part happened on his neighbor's property in a large motor vehicle that could pose a danger to others. Unfortunately for Tiger that's when it becomes open to public scrutiny.

Tigers a self described introvert. If he didn't do anything wrong, why should he have to put himself in front of the press? I could care less about the details of this story.

If he doesn't want to have to explain it, he should not do it. He represents not only himself but countless companies and many non-profits. If he wants to go all fight with wife, crash into tree, deny police interviews but talk to friends about Kobe specials, he should feel the wrath.

We don't know what happened. Maybe he was just plugging in his phone charger and hit the hydrant, then lost control and hit the tree. Also, all the rich men in the world that he makes money for need to call the cops and the media and tell them to forget this ever happened.

Please put "TMZ" in the subject line next time, so I know not to read the thread. I care about the Woods case, I'm just not going to read a thread initiated by a celebrity gossip website. Does that mean no ESPN either? Oh wait...

to follow the Woods story. Besides, the last thing they want to do is ruin Tiger's perfect image (which we know it's not) so they'll sit on it as long as possible. Btw, was just at the market and the new National Enquirer has it on the front cover. Hopefully Tiger had her sign a pre-nup.

I like how those commercials talk all about true love and how pure it is, but then say that true love requires a man to buy a woman a $1,000 piece of jewelry. BTW, I love your username and photo. Is that Lou Ferrigno eating a cat?

"I have a rule of thumb: The man who buys me jewelry or flowers obviously does not know me well enough. I pick my own jewelry and I hate flowers because they do nothing but take up space until they die." I like the discussion, glad to find a lady on the board. I do know it's a tenet of pick-up artists to never, EVER spend money to impress a woman because it makes you look like a supplicator - a Big Pussy if you will. I think that's a really cynical extension of a basic principle: don't go flashing cash around buying women sh** they don't want because a freaking television ad told you to do so. I don't do the Game thing so I do spend money on the lady, but I am certainly not about to blow a huge wad of cash until I have a good idea if she'll appreciate it or not. PS: another source for these "inspirations" seems to be women unhappy with their own guys who project their desires onto platonic male friends, saying "she'd LOVE it if you did this!"

Reports are that the woman he allegedly slept with can't be trusted. She is reportedly a fame seeker who will say or do anything for fame or to get her name out there in some form or fashion. Reportedly one of those celebrity stalker types. Regardless of whether or not the report is or isn't true, there is no excuse for Tiger's wife to go psycho. If this had been a man abusing his wife for cheating, he would have been thrown up under the jail and society wouldn't bat an eye. What she allegedly did to Tiger constitutes abuse.... plain and simple. Moreover, if these reports are true, the wife embarrassed herself. In the little country club set they hang around, she will now face snickering behind her back. Worse still, her behavior has caused her to lose the "sympathy vote" that she would have had in this little scandle. She did herself no favors by going lunatic. That said, this is all a tempest in a tea pot. Team Tiger will put out a statement and in a month, this whole thing will be a big non-issue. The worst that will likely happen is this thing will end up being the punch line for a joke.
