OT: Texas HS QB dies after throwing TD pass
How sad is this? The silver lining spin to this horrible news is he died doing what he loved doing: throwing a TD.
RIP Reggie

What a rough story. You wish the family best.

1. Prayers to the family, just tragic
2. If he indeed had a seizure before, I hope he was given a doctor's ok to play, on med, etc. Obviously, this is probably pretty doubtful and can serve as a lesson to families with kids with prior health issues and playing youth sports.
3. This has nothing to do with the story and is probably a bit insensitive given the situation...but how great is the last name "Hooks" for a Texas high school football coach. I'm sure the Longhorn references are abundant.

Jesus man, don't you realize that posting this today does 2 things: 1) it does a disservice to the story - our focus is primarily going to be on the game, meaning that this tragic story will not get the attention and conversation is deserves; and relatedly 2) it makes all of us feel like shit before our game.
Couldn't this wait until tomorrow for the sake of this kid's story, as well as for all of us feeling good this morning?

...if this kid was a Michigan recruit/verbal?

No, because that case would obviously be directly applicable to our team. And it would not be OT then either. Nice try.

Unfortunate for the family and community. MGOPrayers to the family.

Awfully sad and terrible that such a young man with his whole life ahead of him is brought down doing what he loves. RIP Reg
