OT - Sports Movies
At the end of the summer I decided to embark upon a journey that would assuredly reap uncountable rewards. That journey has been long and arduous, but it is slowly approaching its end. Last August I decided to create something that combined two of my favorite pastimes: drinking beer and watching sports. Thus, I began compiling a Power Hour of sports movies.
The project contains both classic sports movies as well as non-sports movies that have memorable sports scenes.
It certainly hasn't been easy, but I'm getting there. It's getting to the point where its pretty tough, so that's where you come in. I currently have a product that has 35 scenes in it. I have a small list of movies/scenes that I know will be added. Then I have some wiggle room. I need some suggestions and help to finish this bad boy off. Right now there are some movies with multiple scenes. Ideally there will be exactly 60 movies represented with 60 scenes. Lists? Lists:

My favorite Spike Lee movie and one of my two or three favorite sports movies. You could go with the opening montage or the final one-on-one game between Ray Allen and Denzel Washington, both set to Aaron Copland.

Maybe it's cause I never had any problems playing catch with my dad, or maybe it's cause I'm already bawling by that point, but that's not what gets me. Moonlight Graham, stepping over the foul line. That's what does it. Every single time. I can't take it, even just thinking about it chokes me up.

How did we forget about Bull Durham? That'll get in there for sure.
Thanks for the suggestions on 'Any Given Sunday' and 'Tin Cup'. Two movies I haven't seen so wasn't able to make a for sure decision on.
I have actually seen Shaolin Soccer and did consider it, and now will more closely consider it. It's pretty hilarious, but I just didn't think it was mainstream enough at first.
As someone mentioned, Raging Bull is in there. I don't think I could have picked a better clip. Speaking of which, of the movies I have multiple clips, I'd like to narrow it down to one each. That'll be tough, so suggestions are very welcome.
Also, kinda random, but I'm pretty amazed at how often Bill Murray keeps popping up in sports movies. The guy is hilarious.
Also, FTR: language is not a concern - this is a drinking game after all. Classic movie scenes are good. Funny, classic movies scenes are preferred.
