OT: Schadenfreude - MSU is Combined 15-18 in FB and BB This School Year
The schadenfreude started with the loss to Middle Tennessee State, and it just keeps getting better and better. The past 10 months have been glorious.
With their loss to Purdue tonight, Sparty fell to 12-9 on the season. That means their football and basketball teams are a combined 15-18 this school year. (By comparison, we're 23-10.)
The best part of the game tonight was watching Izzo snap his whiteboard in half out of frustration. The more they lose in both sports, the more it helps us.

After Izzo leaves, then we will have the upper hand in both sports, or at least the chance of it.

until the past 8 years....since they started winning in football and acted as if it always was that way.
Nice to see their football return to it's natural place....litlle brother, regional program.
As for basketball, they've been legit over Izzos entire tenure, but would love to see that collapse too.

Did I miss something this year with the Spartan Basketball team? Izzo kept making reference in his post game presser about how much his team has gone through this year. Like what? Practicing, going to class? What have they gone through that I missed?
Izzo says some very weird things. Almost weirder than his guys but not that weird. Reminds me of when Michigan beat Sparty at Breslin in 2014 and after the game Izzo said that he had never been as proud of a team as he was that night...like wut? More proud than the 2000 team that won the NC?

One is the schedule... MSU always has a difficult non-conference schedule, which I give them credit for, but this year they lost a lot of those games, so naturally Izzo blamed the schedule.

My guess is his tone would've been a little different had MSU actually won the games. Probably more important though is the fact that they've had a number of guys miss time due to injury. Sucks for them, but I feel no sympathy.

Only Michigan State has injuries in basketball. Caris LeVert and Derrick Walton have played in every game for Michigan over the last 4 years.

He was going on and on about how Harbaugh screaming at the refs shows his immaturity, is classless, etc. I heard him out and then asked him, "Have you ever seen Tom Izzo coach a basketball game?" Still waiting for his reply...
