Hadn't heard about this here, and the algorithm just threw it to me. I enjoyed the video.

Thanks for the championship, Coach. Really appreciated the way you ran the program.

The Chargers are paying him the big bucks to assemble the best staff he can.  He's been out of the pro game a decade, while the staff he just worked with went 40-3 the last three years.

Would you rather work with a guy that someone else referred you to, but you don't know personally, or someone you've already worked with successfully?

He knows from experience that he can work with guys like Minter, Elston, Clinkscale and Herbert.  It's tough for us to lose them but this tends to happen when you lose your head coach to a new job.  When he left Stanford, he took both coordinators, IIRC.  This time we've managed to preserve our staff on one side of the ball, at least.

I feel that he's an alumnus and the greatest coach in Michigan football history, and thus earned the right to rock a Michigan hat anytime he damn well pleases. The man has given more to the football program that just about anyone on this blog (with the exception of any former players posting or browsing).

Not to mention, think this was a video of him when he was still the coach. The timing of this video is funny since it was uploaded on YT three days ago, but the title of Jim says Michigan coach 2015-current, and John is asking him about how to recruit to Michigan. I'm guessing the video is a year or two old at least.

Harbaugh will never be OT, will always be a welcome topic.  Anyone who wants to say otherwise needs to demonstrate how a star QB and 9-year Coach is no longer a welcome topic all year.

Would love to hear him blast the NCAA and talk about the investigations. He said he loved to open up about it but couldn't due to ncaa rule, he no longer has to stay mute..

That's just not his style. He's not one to lash out in the media (at least not anymore, anyway). He left the 49ers because his relationship with the front office became toxic, and he never lashed out at them, so I highly doubt he'll ever lash out at the NCAA.

Everyone who knows him has said that he's completely genuine and that he's exactly the same behind closed doors as he is in public. One of his mantras is "Don't get bitter, get better." He really seems to believe that, which would seem to preclude him from ever wasting his breath on making harsh comments that serve no strategic purpose.

wishful thinking, of course. I Do believe he will take the high road and move along.  I know in a few interviews he's mentioned that he'd love to be able to talk about the on going investigation but due to the NCAA , he can't. I know he probably did that just to be respectful to the interviewer and the question but id love for some insight.

The NCAA and B1G are currently researching how they can suspend an NFL coach and ban former college coaches from having YouTube channels.

Unfair advantage. Intent to educate. Player safety issue.

Didn’t see this YouTube video posted either, but Jim talked on Eisen’s show and it made me chuckle:

“No one is happy when a head coach leaves a college football program. Either he gets fired, he moves onto another program, or he dies. For me, I’m happy I didn’t have to die!”
“It’s a fairytale ending for all of us at Michigan. And it’s a new beginning for me at the Chargers.”

This is just Harbaugh being Harbaugh.

There is a significant chance that he is completely self-unaware about any of his recent actions actually hurting Michigan.  He feels that he's a life long Michigan Man . . . while stealing away the entire defensive coaching staff.  What's the issue?

There is no cognitive dissonance for him.

People need to stop being butthurt.  He doesn't work for Michigan anymore.  He works for another football team and his job is to win games for them.   When coaches take new jobs, they try to bring along their assistants.

If you don't want to lose your assistants, don't lose your head coach.  Maybe it wasn't such an awesome idea to suspend Jim because the NCAA claimed he lied about a burger, to cave to another suspension by the Big Ten on more bullshit, and then to refuse to guarantee his contract on top of everything else.  Would you feel wanted as an employee if your boss did that to you?
