So now Manny's got a bad shoulder according to Arum?

Roach should have had his boy better prepped instead of talking trash 24/7. Take the L like a man.

I'm old

I don't hit as hard

I got paid a shit-ton of money, and didn't get the sh*t kicked out of me like when I fought Marquez.

Ride off into the sunset, Manny.

why Manny didn't look like himself, but he didn't.  Maybe age, maybe he was hurt, I don't know.  But he sure didn't look like himself.

Also, fighters like the illiterate woman-beater are the reason boxing is losing popularity in the US.  All he does is make tactical strikes to score points and not get hit.  Which is within the rules, but is boring as hell to watch.

They need to change the rules to get me to watch again.  Wins should only be by TKO, KO, or throwing in the towel.  Maybe go back to 15 rounds.

I'm pretty sure something was off with Manny.  Maybe the illiterate woman-beater should give him a rematch.

The illiterate woman beater gave Pacquiao the biggest payday ever and is one of the smartest boxers/businessmen in history of the sport.

His style will probably ensure that he doesn't end up with Parkinson's or Alzheimer's like Roach and Ali.

UFC is more geared towards casuals, but even in UFC some of the greatest fighters are "boring" like GSP.

Fact of the matter is, these are sports not street brawls. Rules exist and I don't understand why Mayweather gets flack for maximizing his winning potential in a smart way.

Because it's boring as fuck to watch.  As is UFC.  Two guys in tights rolling around on the floor, trying to get the other to "submit".  No thanks.

And he didn't "give" Manny anything.  He would have never gotten that payday without Manny to fight.

He was smart to duck Manny for the last 7 years though.  I'll grant you that.

That's my point. Idk what people expected. You're not watching heavyweights here. It's not like the Klitschkos are suiting up. It's vintage Floyd.

And if this fight was 7 years ago Floyd would still probably win. Manny was much more wreckless in terms of exposing himself for counter punches back then. In this fight, he was clearly scared of Mayweathers straight right.

Blame Pacquiao for the boredom b/c Floyd was going to play his game no matter what. It was Pacman's job to get him uncomfortable, and he failed at doing so like the 47 others before him.

And lastly, Floyd is smart. He said fuck you to promoters like Arum and became his own promotion. Dude got a 9 figure check and owes nobody anything (outside of Roger, Jeff and Floyd Sr.)  unlike Manny and countless others who got swindled by promoters like Arum.

does it, its "boring as hell" but when Michigan basketball doesn't score A SINGLE BASKET for 7-10 minutes stretches it's great defense and Beilein is an offensive genuis?  C'mon man, you can not have it both ways.

Was the fight a brawl?  By no stretch of the imagination!  Was it a great firght?  I believe so.

Think about it this way.  Manny gets paid very well to be able to HIT people. Floyd rendered him incompetent at that task for 36 mintues.  That's good boxing to me.  If you've ever been in a fight you'll know, it's very important not to get hit. The mental acumen that Floyd must have is incredible!  He makes his opponets hit air repeatedly for entire rounds.  Crazy.  Being great at tactical and technical strategy is one of the reasons Michigan basketball has returned to prominence and we LOVE it!  If you don't like the guy, just say that (many of us don't) but please don't be a hypocrite.

flloyd is just too good. he's not trying to put on a wwf showman-type event; he's trying to play the game and win, and nobody in his generation can figure him out. pacman would lose just as bad a second time; that's why i wouldn't want to see a rematch.

He didn't lose because of a shpulder injury, but I wouldn't be surprised that a 38-year-old fighter with LOTS of miles on him could get hurt during training.

I streamed this fight for free and still felt like I over paid.

Boxing community is laughing all the way to the bank after suckering rubes into paying $100 to watch this pillow fight.  Might have literally killed boxing though.

This was discussed immediately after the fight, Pacquiao's camp went to the Nevada authorities to request permission for a cortizone injection prior to the fight and it was denied. They waited too long.

Edit: it may not have been cortizone, others are reporting lidocaine. Whatever it was, it was too late.

Now he says his shoulder hurt, when the Nevada Athletic Commission watched him train and said they saw nothing to say other wise and there was no peep of it for weeks or weeks. Now it happened a couple days before the fight when they said it happened a couple weeks ago

I still don't think I get it.

Is he saying that Mayweather turtled too much?  Because honestly, he was much more aggressive than I've seen in the last 5 years.

Is he saying he doesn't punch?  I think he actually outpunched Manny.   He certainly landed a lot more.
