OT- Oregon blowing up Cal

Submitted by BlueinLansing on
Oregon is currently blowing out Cal 42-3 with 6 min to go. I called this one earlier this week as a Jeff Tedford loss to unranked team on the road speacial of 2009. Seven or eight consecutive years now. but holy cripes this scores shocks me. I thought Oregon was an average team at best. One again the pundits and their opinions take a beating.

The Ducks clearly weren't prepared for Boise St., and Purdue really should've won the game, but Cal might've spent too much time reading press clippings this week and thinking about USC losing. This is obviously Oregon's best played game of the year and if they can keep this level of intensity on the road they might end up in Pasadena.

O-line. It's the o-line, and the d-line. They lost to Boise because Boise was the better team, sure, but at the top of the list of their problems was replacing an all-conference starter on each line, and multiple bodies on both. With a couple games to gel, to get timing down and the right (best) guys at each position they just focus on Best and come out with a deserved win to save the season. Kelly is now also 3-1, though I doubt anybody would have thought he'd reach 3 wins after the BSU debacle.

cal is a soft team, and a "soft" program. every time they're seemingly on the verge of contending for the pac-10 something like this happens. must suck to be a cal fan lol
