OT: New Year's Eve College Football Playoff attire

Submitted by BlueMan80 on

It's been slow around here lately, so I checked out EDSBS for the first time in weeks.  Peter Berkes picked up on a picture of the ESPN's New Years Eve Collection that 10 lucky fans from each school will get the "honor" to wear.  The Sparty tux is especially bad.  Trolling?

NYE is a suit event for me, but if M were playing, it would be a M gear event. I also likely would not go to a place that warrants a suit if M were playing.

I have a wedding to attend on New Year's Eve.  (Who tf gets married on NYE?).

Regardless, me and my daughter (a Bama sophomore) will be cheering LOUDLY at the reception.

Roll MF Tide.

Man, I really wish they would not put the Playoff on New Year's freaking Eve.  It's going to cause lots of fights with wives/girlfriends.

You can make the case that New Year's Day is legitimate "college football time", but it's hard to do that for New Year's Eve with a straight face.

This will not end well.

I have questions. Why was this blazer selected to have a completely ridiculous feature while none of the others did? Why, after deciding something extra was needed, did designers go with hilariously large epaulettes, like this dude's mom tried to make him a Napoleon costume? Why Jadakiss as hard as it gets?

It's the sort of jacket that in some settings would make you go up to the person in the jacket and ask if you could have have extra balsamic vinagrette with the house salad, but then you see the shoulders and instead put in your request for the band.

flying out of Toledo wearing maize and blue with pride ready to yell  "O-H... H-O". Will miss the first playoff game which is just a STUPID timeslot. Only worse timeslot is the humanitarian Bowl. Then rooting hard for Bama in Orlando, resting up for the MGoBlog tailgate and Gator beatdown on the real college game day!!

That kid is a doofus. Standing there, smirking, trying not to look like the buffoon he is. Spartans lack class, up and down the fanbase. Forever.
