I just saw this on Twitter. I miss college.

Why is this OT? Is it not about Michigan players and a Michigan event on campus?
Is it OT because it is not sports related?
Explanation would be much appreciated thank you.
also were they even in that video?

For the record, on topic posts are anything involving: Michigan athletics, scheduled opponents or Big Ten sports, the blog itself and University of Michigan topics.

The off topic vs. on topic is about halfway down Brian's post there.

I'm one of those people who never, ever reads the entire instruction book. So, now I know.

With how much attention it gets you would think the label provided some sort functionality for a sorting function built into the site or something...

Dude, chill.
It's not sports related. Its an Engineering talent competiton and they have judges to pick the winnner. Denard and Kovacs were judges...no sports involved.

the words Denard and off-topic in the same sentence. When it involves Kovacs, I just think the person should be walked-on.

My roommate won runner up... Was pretty cool.

I actually won back in 1997. This is me during the swimsuit stage of the competition:

And you won Mr. Engineering as a law student. Impressive.

Weren't there some recruits interested in engineering? They should see this to know it's a field taken seriously. With extra points for athletic ability, at least in the promo.

One of my favorite events on campus! I was an unsuccessful participant in 2010. Mike Martin was a judge, IIRC.

I can't believe they've got Dilithium and JK as judges this year. Clearly the Mr. Engineer pageant has grown far more popular than when I was around! Major props to the lovely ladies of SWE for growing this event.
If you want to get excited about this year's pageant, click here. I strongly recommend going; they're really a lot of fun. And to see Denard's electric smile the whole night? So jealous of this year's kids.
