OT: MNF Bucs @ NY Giants
Tom Brady is playing against his Super Bowl nemesis, the New York Giants. Tampa is 5-2 and headed toward the NFC lead, while the Giants are 1-6.
Tampa Bay is a 13.5 point favorite on the road, and cold of Metlife stadium. Can they cover?
Brian Griese is doing color. As far as I can tell, this is his first game involving his former teammate and backup.
Yes I'm posting to break up the negativity around our own program right now.

I'm watching TV with my wife and it's not Hallmark. So glad she loves Tom Brady.

I am watching the game, my wife is watching Amazon Prime. ???
Brady looking sharp so far. Big turnover leads to a Giants td.

Bucs should cover, with ease. Giants are ass!

If this was intended as an ironic comment, well done.
7-3 NYG late in the 2nd.

They should have but the Giants played really well. I wouldn’t say impressive but it was a deserving performance.
November 2nd, 2020 at 11:29 PM ^
Yes. I was 1 for 2 on my football predictions this week.

What negativity?

Peppers knocks away Brady pass.
did I miss my calling as an interior designer? Did Tampa bay tweak their shade of red in their uni’s?
November 2nd, 2020 at 10:14 PM ^
They have a whole new set this year, back to the basic design they had in the late 90s into the 00s. I think the pewter is a bit darker but not sure about the red. Fun fact, Tampa is wearing their red uniforms for the first time this season, since they wear white at home in the fall, so the road team has to wear dark colors in the sun.

Except I'm a Giants fan and they suck. So this is more negativity.
November 2nd, 2020 at 9:02 PM ^
They suck but at least we expect it every single week for the past several years.
November 2nd, 2020 at 9:55 PM ^
This is all too true. I would hope for a loss, but Gettleman squanders picks on bizarre reaches so there isn't even hope there.
November 3rd, 2020 at 3:03 AM ^
Giants fan (unfortunately) here, too. I've been rooting for the Giants to lose out, #tankforTrevor, but you're right; Gettleman will blow what ever pick they have.

Scott Dreisbach will be on at halftime

Touchdown Giants!!!
Brady has his work cut out for him now.
November 2nd, 2020 at 9:48 PM ^
The Giants are Tom Brady’s kryptonite. Doesn’t matter which team he’s playing for, or whether Eli Manning or David Tyree are on the other sideline. They just know how to make him look and play just like any other guy.
November 2nd, 2020 at 11:20 PM ^
28/40 (70%) 279 yards, 2 TDs, 0 INTs
Victory
Tom has slain the giants

Jones looked incredible on that drive. But: 2 point conversion fails - game over
November 2nd, 2020 at 11:23 PM ^
Should have been pass interference. Winfield didn’t have his eyes on the ball and ran into him before the ball hit his hands.
November 2nd, 2020 at 11:25 PM ^
Meanwhile in the booth:"Referees got the call right"
Oh...they did?! THEN WHY THE FUCK DO I SEE THAT CALLED PI EVERY SINGLE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY OTHERWISE.
Goddammit I fucking hate this sport. Pass interference has single handedly pushed me away from it.
And fwiw...I don't even think that should be flagged, ever. The offense gets away with so much it's asinine...especially in the age of the underthrown ball, but the fact is that type of play is flagged constantly. But not there. Because...well there is no reason. Inconsistency, game in and game out, week in and week out.
November 2nd, 2020 at 11:27 PM ^
Why did the ref throw a flag if it wasn’t? I don’t understand what just happened.
November 2nd, 2020 at 11:31 PM ^
Haha right?! I'm all for huddling and getting the call right to the best of their shitty abilities. But did the line judge overrule? The flag thrower also had a pretty damned good view. It's all so ridiculous. I know players are supposed to just play and play through the calls. But the calls and lack of calls just make for a product I can't get behind.
November 3rd, 2020 at 12:08 AM ^
Thank God they picked that flag up, because I would've surely lost my fantasy matchup if that had gone to overtime.
Somebody up there loves me.
November 3rd, 2020 at 12:35 AM ^
Who'd you have remaining?! Your ass was puckered, to say the least, I imagine! Ugh, cheers to a fantasty victory. I'm on a 3 week slide and things aren't looking too gravy, upcoming, either.
November 3rd, 2020 at 10:39 AM ^
My opponent had Mike Evans, and I ended up winning by a couple points.
November 3rd, 2020 at 1:31 PM ^
The problem is that PI and holding are mostly subjective. There really isn’t a consensus definition and the written rules are incredibly vague/open to interpretation. It really does take away from the sport but I don’t see a way to make it better.
November 2nd, 2020 at 11:33 PM ^
What a surprise, another game where they refs decide the outcome.
Can't believe the Bucs are 6-2, once Brady gets AB look out!
November 3rd, 2020 at 12:38 AM ^
AND Godwin. I'm not sure the role AB ends up taking but...if he's in shape and ready to play (obviously he isn't banged up so he's got that going for him...now the women in his life is another story)...yea, look out. Him just being on the field is a defensive issue.
