OT: MNF Bucs @ NY Giants

Submitted by Sambojangles on November 2nd, 2020 at 8:16 PM

Tom Brady is playing against his Super Bowl nemesis, the New York Giants. Tampa is 5-2 and headed toward the NFC lead, while the Giants are 1-6.

Tampa Bay is a 13.5 point favorite on the road, and cold of Metlife stadium. Can they cover?

Brian Griese is doing color. As far as I can tell, this is his first game involving his former teammate and backup.

Yes I'm posting to break up the negativity around our own program right now.

Peppers knocks away Brady pass.

did I miss my calling as an interior designer?  Did Tampa bay tweak their shade of red in their uni’s?

They have a whole new set this year, back to the basic design they had in the late 90s into the 00s. I think the pewter is a bit darker but not sure about the red. Fun fact, Tampa is wearing their red uniforms for the first time this season, since they wear white at home in the fall, so the road team has to wear dark colors in the sun.

The Giants are Tom Brady’s kryptonite. Doesn’t matter which team he’s playing for, or whether Eli Manning or David Tyree are on the other sideline. They just know how to make him look and play just like any other guy.

Meanwhile in the booth:"Referees got the call right"

Oh...they did?!  THEN WHY THE FUCK DO I SEE THAT CALLED PI EVERY SINGLE SATURDAY AND SUNDAY OTHERWISE.

Goddammit I fucking hate this sport.  Pass interference has single handedly pushed me away from it.

And fwiw...I don't even think that should be flagged, ever. The offense gets away with so much it's asinine...especially in the age of the underthrown ball, but the fact is that type of play is flagged constantly.  But not there.  Because...well there is no reason.  Inconsistency, game in and game out, week in and week out.

Haha right?!  I'm all for huddling and getting the call right to the best of their shitty abilities.  But did the line judge overrule? The flag thrower also had a pretty damned good view.  It's all so ridiculous.  I know players are supposed to just play and play through the calls.  But the calls and lack of calls just make for a product I can't get behind.
