Great atmosphere in Portland. Will be happy for Diego Valeri and that city if they win.

I love me some Timbers. Providence Park is majestic and the conditions are perfect. Clark has gotta make that save, but don't bet against Gio they'll make this a game still.

Wow, Timbers score the equalizer with 5 seconds left in stoppage time.

Yes!!!! You can't get much more at the death than that. Game on!

What a moment, extra time let’s go

I was supporting Portland in this contest, but the outcome was just.

Yea I kind of felt the same.

Also kind of ridiculous that Ny has to leach off of man city.

Not as bad as calling a franchise “Real Salt Lake.”
SLC is not Spanish, and Utah has no monarchy.
I’d rather see some Americanized versions of European club names that have some logic to them.

I'm really referring to a European Club owning a team in MLS. How did NY not have a potential owner that was local?

Multiple-franchise ownership is getting more common. Like it or not (and I'm not a huge fan) it has been reality for a while. The Glazers have owned Man U for quite some time now, a matter of significantly more... consternation.

Nice dramatic flourish at the end of regulation, though the game regrettably had to end in penalties. Portland’s environment is always compelling and is a good endorsement for MLS.

Great game!! Shame that NYC won but they were certainly the better team for about 92 mins of regulation.

As a Philly fan I couldn’t even watch; knowing a healthy team could have one the whole thing this year.
