OT: Madden 2010 iPhone/Touch

Submitted by bigmc6000 on
For those who are interested the Madden 2010 iPhone/Touch game is out. If searching for it doesn't show it you can go to toucharcade.com and click the link there (I'd link but that site is blocked at work). It's on sale for $7.99 until kickoff tomorrow and then it'll be $9.99. I haven't played it yet but reading the reviews and going through the tutorial it looks, well, amazing for a handheld device and the touch controls seem like they'll work really well once you get a feel (ha!) for them.

I actually just bought a mac computer and I should be getting it by this saturday. I also got a free Ipod Touch with it with my student discount. I wouldn't think of buying it, but with you saying the reviews are good, I may give it a shot. EDIT: Also, it's surprising how fast they ship the macs because of the fact that they are shipping from China. Free shipping too.

the Tiger Woods PGA tour app and I love it. Seems like EA is really good at making these sports apps. Probably going to end up getting Madden, and I heard that Need for Speed (also EA) is really good, too.

I had a much earlier version of Madden for the Palm OS - it was terrible... you couldn't run (and passes were completed 99% of the time), not a single player played any real position, and you could run for TD's by heading back towards the corner of your endzone (since every AI controlled player just chased the ball) which drew everyone to one spot, then reversing... Hopefully the iPhone one is better though.

maybe next year they'll come out with NCAA Football 2010?... Edit: I forgot to add that NFL 2010 by Gameloft on Ipod Touch/Iphone is a pretty good game as well. i'm downloading Madden atm, but i'm curious to see which is better.
