It's worth the 4 minutes.
And, in case you wanted the (literal) trombone-level view, here it is...(8 min)

I just had to google DNCE to see what that is. One more thing to hate about this new era of bowl games.

I agree. Needless to say I was on the concourse drinking and not listening to them

Current trombone (and video creator!) here: We performed our abbreviated pregame performance - the same one we brought to MSU and OSU - and integrated a few sets of our halftime show in an effort to appeal to fans and donors who like both pregame and halftime. It was more of a time restriction issue than anything else.
No lockstep was the worst part of the trip :(

Great job!
One of the saddest things about the MMB over the last fifteen years, even if money is important, is the "appeal to donors" attitude. There's not a few folks out there who are devoted to the MMB who consistently feel put off by the development office and the Elbel Club's continual pressure to give more. There are better ways of phrasing this stuff than "appealing to donors" while still getting the money. We all love the band--but the love they give back shouldn't be dependent on how big the check may be.
Which is strange considering I heard Haithcock say ~10 years ago that they were on the verge of raising enough money to endow the band in perpetuity. Wonder what happened with that.
