OT: Lets talk about anything other than The Sadness

Submitted by Noleverine on

We all know what happened tonight.  It sucks the big one. But I created this thread so we can talk about anything BUT the game to help us get our minds off of it.  I can't dwell on it anymore without plummeting into the depths of sadness, and the only way to be pulled out again is by winning a Nat'l Championship.

I will start: How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?

I hit the bar after the game with some friends and all my problems melted away.  Michigan is still the best school in the Big Ten, Hunwick is still awesome, and Family Guy just came on the tube.

I need to stop going on mgoblog.  And espn.  My two most visited sites are un-visitible (yeah, made that word up) right now without plummeting back into my deep set depression.

Even this thread is depressing.

Through my struggles, stumbleupon has seemed most succesful at keeping my mind off it.

Oberon is fucking incredible. So glad i bought a six pack today (since i wasn't able to on oberon day.)

Anyone go to relayfor life today? Its events like this that make me feel great to be a Wolverine and that I came here instead of UT-Austin (fuck the longhorns).

Go Blue always!

Is nice. But yeah, Oberon, what a great Spring/Summer beverage. It's the man version of Blue Moon.

One of my friends just got a job with Bell's, as a matter of fact, and he brought a huge sampler of at least 15 of their beers with him to a dinner last week, and I got to try some I've never had before. They make some very interesting varieties, to say the least.

Interesting note: Dave Brandon does not sleep. He was apparently tweeting at around 2 AM today. Wonder if he does his own tweets or if he has someone for that.

And went to Facebook/Twitter to get Barry Melrose some support. He has obvious trouble pronouncing names correctly and giving an unbiased broadcast. How many times did he repeat that the ref "wanted to blow his whistle earlier and that's why it shouldn't be a goal" or "instant replay in hockey is great because it always gets you the right call" rabble, rabble? That was the first sign of his allegiance... Perhaps we can raise some money to help him do his job...

it was a great run and Michigan has a great hockey program.   I'm always proud I attended UM.  No worries.
