OT: Les Miles Trolls Texas Longhorns' Lack of 2014 Draft Picks
Good old crusty Les Miles. Not one to miss an opportunity to compliment his program and backhandedly slap another - he got in some digs at a Tiger Tour Stop in Texas. While touting the high number of LSU draft picks, he let out this quip:
"Some schools in this state didn't have any,"
Gotta love it. Too bad LSU doesn't play Texas!
The comments on the SBNation piece about the fact that this was the first time since 1938 or so that zero Longhorns went in the draft were nothing but epic trolling, as I recall, but Les' shot did elicit a chuckle. My personal favorites from the other article were:
"Duke 1, Texas 0"
and
"To put this in perspective, Arkansas went 3-9 last year. We had 4 draft picks."
I hadn't seen those shots at Texas. Too funny!
44-9 over the last 4 seasons. Winners talk and losers walk.
Winners talk - unfortunately not to NFL GM's in this case.
Mack Brown should have cut some underperforming kids once they were on campus to make way for guys who were more likely to be drafted. Then he and Les would be on even terms.
the bag man is alive and well at Texas considering all of their highly ranked recruiting classes.
