You know, I rather missed our extra-curricular (if you will) bowl coverage last year. This blog does a good job watching potentially awful games in which we have no stake. Awful games in which we do, on the other hand....well, that's fandom.

Interesting game, maybe one of the best outside of the NYE (two teams with the most combined wins outside the CFP, and also really the two best teams from their conferences). Jesse Matthews putting on a clinic, with some huge catches.

Nice to see Hoke win, even at the expense of my UTSA. Always good to see him having success after his stint at Michigan.
Unfortunate that the game was over before it started because UTSA’s all-American RB decided to sit out at the last moment. I get that it’s all about not hurting your draft stock, but it’s still really shitty to see impact players sitting out. I really hate the trend.

I used to feel this way until Jake Butt’s injury. Now I don’t judge the player. They know what’s best for themselves.
Waiting to the last minute is not cool, though. Either way a player chooses, their teamates and coaches deserve to know with time to prepare for the game.

It’s great to see Brady leading SDSU to a program-best 12-2 record. He looks so much more at ease on the sideline. He’s a genuinely good guy who found himself in over his head at Michigan.

I was waiting on the end of the SDSU game to close out on an 8-team parlay. I bet $2 and won $359 ($361 cash out). Biggest parlay I've ever won. Previous best was 6-team. Not too shabby. Also won the 7 point teaser of those 8 teams and all the individual bets.
