OT - GVSU signs Hersey Jackson
grand valley signed 3* APB Hersey Jackson out of Allendale. I guess I get that a lot of local talent gets sucked into the GVSU football machine, but not 3* division 1 type backs. won't this guy probably be absolutely ridiculous for grand valley? he had offers from cincinnati, CMU, and BGSU

I seem to recall an injury issue... maybe DII and home was better than D1AA offers he was getting.

"Jackson, ranked the No. 45 running back in the nation, is the top-ranked player in the class (No. 25 in Michigan according to Scout.com). He had several Division I offers before suffering an Achilles tendon injury in the second game of the season. Those offers were rescinded after the injury."

GV had two players that transferred in last year that were 4*s. One was a WR and the other was a RB that transferred from Colorado. Neither dominated in any fashion, in fact they didn't even start.

That program is becoming in a class by itself. It is simply a D II football factory, if there's such a thing. One look at their record in the last decade would say as such.
