OT - Friday Recruiting: Shave the Date! Day 1 of MGoBlog Against Prostate, Colo-Rectal, and Testicular Cancer

Hi All,

Today is the first day of Movember!  This is an important charity with the goal of increasing awareness and elimination of Prostate, Colo-Rectal, and Testicular Cancer.  We will be growing awesome moustaches to show our support and to start good conversation!

Since I am the founder, I guess I had to follow the rules and be clean-shaven.  I don't grow facial fuzz very well, so we shall see what I can grow in a short 30 days:

Movember (the month formerly known as November) is a moustache growing charity event held during November each year that raises funds and awareness for men's health. Donations are collected and distributed among various areas of support including: Awareness and Education, Living With and Beyond Cancer, Staying Mentally Healthy Living With and Beyond Mental Illness, and Cancer Research.

<Donate to Me> is a way to contribute directly to the Movember cause, but is allocated to a specific team member vs. donated to the team as a whole. There is no difference in how the money is distributed or handled as it all goes directly to the Movember charity.

Well, I'm being addressed as Tom Selleck or Magnum today, so I'd say I'm part of the team.  Was I supposed to register somewhere?

Sent out my link to friends and coworkers and I'll post to facebook later today. As far as starting clean shaven, I got a rolling start from a couple days ago. If I want anything besides a dirt stash by the end of the month, I need every day I can get (stupid Asian genes).

I am German/Hungarian so should be what is referred to as a "Hairian" as most of my relatives look like they're wearing a bear shirt and have a 5 o'clock shadow by 10am...but I guess maybe my brother WAS right.  I AM adopted!
