OT: F* MSU: Former Michigan dean guilty of neglect in handling of Nassar
I am in a meeting so this is a lazy copy-paste, but thought this was board-worthy:
A former dean who had oversight of now-imprisoned sports doctor Larry Nassar at Michigan State University was found guilty Wednesday of neglect of duty and misconduct in office but acquitted on a more serious criminal sexual conduct charge.
William Strampel, the ex-dean of the College of Osteopathic Medicine, was the first person charged after Michigan's attorney general launched an investigation 1½ years ago into how Michigan State handled complaints against Nassar, a former USA Gymnastics team physician who pleaded guilty to molesting female athletes and possessing child pornography.
Burn it down. Burn it all down.
Please note I took the title directly from the article so missed it says Michigan Dean. And Cannot Edit. Sigh.
What does a "Michigan dean" have to do with the Nassar fiasco?
Sorry. Copy-Paste will get you every time.
And cannot edit even delete and restart to fix my egregious transgression.
Might have to change your name to Bolivia46 for this transgression
Can I keep my points? LOL
I don't know, but I'm upvoting you just in case.
You can keep your points at the Bolivian exchange rate
"Nassar fiasco" would contain within it, Nabisco, for want of a b.
Deep thought.
Hey, don't drag the National Biscuit Company into this.
Negged for title although you admitting it being a lazy copy-paste is admirable.
I just want to know how it is possible, even at the national level, that the Michigan / Michigan State University differentiation eludes writers who you might think would be able to easily tell.
Penn State fans thought they played us twice a year until Henne to Manningham.
Negged you for being a nattering nabob of negativism.
Just wanted to use "nattering nabob of negativism" in an MGoBlog comment. Upvoted you for the unhappy face so that's a net plus 1 from me for your point count.
Sentencing is July 31st. This POS needs to do some jail time.
Next on the docket is Lou Anna Simon.
Watching her body language and total put out demeanor on the news during her trial is disgusting. Hope she gets jail, too.
Last but not least is gymnastics coach Klages. Her trial is later this summer. She was one of the first ones to shame those girls to be quiet about Nassar.
HUGE POS!!!!
Wonder how he escaped the other charges. The fucker was caught red handed with videos of Nassar doing his "exams" and molesting victims.
The other charges were for his own sexual assault of students and had no connection to Nassar, I believe. The videos you're talking about go to the charges for which he was convicted.
I'm not a lawyer, but considering the videos he possessed could have prevented countless women from being assaulted, I guess I was hoping they'd be able to nail him on more than what basically amounts to being bad at his job. That's not even considering the potentially nefarious ways he came to have them in the forst place. Hopefully sentencing reflects that.
Hang em all!
Don't you mean: ok cool, hang em?
I’m wearing a MSU football T shirt today.
Why?
Cause I decide what to wear and don’t let silly rivalries get in the way.
What a very strange thing to post on a message board. Congrats on being able to decide what you wear. You must be over 5 years old and part of the 99.3% of the US population that isn't wearing a jail mandated jumpsuit, pretty special stuff!
well then, this is the day to do something very embarrassing in public.
I recommend the maximum 5 years in prison. #spartanswill
lou anna simon should be the next one serving some jail time. This pervert - the former dean - was a direct report to her and she did nothing to curb his atrocities.
"Lock her Up!, Lock her UP!"
/no politics
Read the headline and thought “WTF?” Might have clarified the “Michigan dean” issue up front.
