Watching the playoffs, it was incredible how effective the Lightning's coaching room was at making adjustments mid-series:

R1 -- Smoked 5-0 in Game 1 by the best Maple Leafs team in a half-century, and overcame three series deficits (1-0, 2-1, 3-2) to advance in 7.

R2 -- Swept the President Trophy-winning Florida Panthers in 4 games.

R3 -- Get absolutely pushed around in Games 1 & 2 by the Rangers at MSG, but rally to win the next four consecutive games to advance to the Cup.

R4 -- Go down 2-0 to the Avs in Denver (losing by a full touchdown in Game 2), rebound to get back into the series, only to lose in OT in Game 4 and by a single goal in Game 6.

And considering just how injured key members of the Lightning were (Point, Kucherov, McDonagh. Cirelli), that all adds up to one of the best coaching jobs I can remember in hockey.

Hopefully, Lalonde was a big part of that staff and not just the Tampa Bay version of Dave Lewis.
