OT: College Gameday at Auburn-Clemson?
What is the deal with Gameday going back to Alabama for Auburn vs Clemson? Neither of those teams are firmly in the title hunt and we all have seen how terrible the ACC is. Why not Iowa-Arizona or even Texas- TT. I guess I understand now why Big Ten homerism is important even if it means I have to root for Ohio State.

Can I still root for Notre Dame to beat Sparty? There just isn't the hate factor for me with Brian Kelly like there was with ole Charlie (xoxo, miss you, big fella!)

Absolutely. I am in no way, shape of form, cheering for MSU on Saturday. The sad thing is, if MSU loses, they will come back saying we won because Crist was hurt and then my head will explode.

Who coaches their team shouldn't be part of the hate factor. We hate ND because they are ND, whoever their coach is. Plain and simple.
You can root for them against Sparty but I hope at least a small part of you feels dirty for having to root for them.
Both teams can kiss my ass.

i think most of it is because ESPN's love fest for the SEC

they're the official broadcasting service for the SEC...
i have no problem with this pick, though.

5:30am local (if I've got my time zones correct) start time for the Game Day first hour may make Arizona a less than stellar choice. Perhaps if the actual kick off time was in an earlier slot, it would be doable, but when kick off is at 7pm local, that's a long day for the tailgaters in the background.

I figured the same, but they did it last year for Oregon- USC and that was an 8pm kickoff.

good point on Iowa-Arizona. As for Tech-UT, they may rather have a big out of conference game between two nationally recognized programs at this point in the season. Tech hasn't done anything too impressive this season yet, so I can see why ESPN passed them up. It's a tough call with early season games

Weren't they at TT- Texas last year? Not sure.
Maybe it's Southern bias.

It's a slow week of CFB. To be completely objective, as 2 undefeated teams, Clemson-Auburn is a big game.

I will even be rooting for MSU to knock of the Irish this weekend. Non-conference victories for the Big Ten are huge for the conference. Overall I think the Big10 is doing well so far this year - the only big turd I can think of is Minnesota losing to N. Dakota this weekend.
Speaking of College Gameday - circle the Sparty game as a potential visit by ESPN if both teams can roll into that game undefeated (MSU has the biggest obstacle the week before against Wisconsin in E Lansing). There are a couple of other big games (Alabama @ S. Carolina, LSU @ Florida, Florida State @ Miami, Oregon St @ Arizona), but Florida and Alabama play the week before and S. Carolina plays Auburn the week before. So, I'm just saying that it will be a great atmosphere at the Big House, and ESPN might stop by if the chips fall right. having them there would just add to the hype and intensity of the game. Once little brother is put back in his place, I would imagine we would see a couple big time "Hello, _________" posts.
I'm just sayin'.

H bomb or not, it's simply amazing how much the kid's developed in one year/offseason. Very proud of the kid, very excited for him as well.
