OT- Clint Dempsey Injured
I didnt see this on the board, and thought I would put this up. US forward Clint Demspey was injured in Fullham's loss at Blackburn. The doctors think it is a PCL injury, and he is getting a scan tomorrow. This could be bad if hes not back for us by June. He is my second favorite player after Altidore too.

DAMNIT! Ok, let us all take a moment to offer homage to the angry USA soccer hating god so that he will stop striking down our players.
Seriously this sucks.

Beat me by 2 minutes with the angry god meme

Could we possibly have any worse luck with our top players getting injured? At this point I think we can figure that there must be an Angry USMNT Key Player Hating God.

IMO he is our best forward. He has the international pedigree we need to compete on the world stage. Really a tough loss for the USA. Bummer.

Agreed he is our best attacking player, but he's a winger and technically plays in the midfield not a forward.
Huge loss though as he is the most "in form" of anyone on the team.

We better not lose any more of our offensive weapons (Donovan) between now and June. We're going to have a tough enough time scoring goals without Dempsey and Davies.

I just hope Davies is back for the WC. I also hope Oneywu is healthy to start.

It doesn't sound like this is a definite out for the WC yet. It could just be a sprain. The kid is, if nothing else, a tough guy. He won't want to miss this WC in his prime.

I really feel that this is the World Cup for the US to show how far it has come in soccer. Donovan has been playing great at Everton and overall I feel we have the talent go move through the rounds.

Can I be the first to start the conspiracy theory about English players purposefully injuring our guys? Yeah I know, ridiculous, but stil....
Landon and Tim better keep their heads on a swivel!

Weird injury. The game was televised on FSC, and they couldn't figure out where he got injured. It was almost like he came up lame. About 5 seconds before play was stopped, you can see Dempsey jog across the bottom of the screen, and as he turns he seems unhappy, and he slows to a walk. It was a frustrating game for Fulham, so I don't want to read too much into Dempsey dogging it though.
After he received treatment, he left under his own power.
It's a shame, he's been in great form. He had that crazy goal against Stoke, and in the first half of this one, he cracked a bicycle kick off of the crossbar and also had a beautiful turn in the box that he rushed into the keeper.
