OT: Barrett Jackson Auction - The perfect car for a Michigan State fan
Being a car guy, I read a lot of car blogs. This weekend, it was all about the Barrett Jackson auction. One little gem, courtesy of Autoblog, is the cheapest car sold over the weekend. The "winner" of said distinction?
1985 Oldsmobile Calais convertible. The description: "Perfect for the Michigan State fan." Sold for the princely sum of $2,475 (!!!).

I hear it's the car Mateen Cleaves used for his getaway in the "Great 7-Eleven 40 oz. Heist of 2000."

At that price, and in this economy, I'd take it.

Hey Doc, for half that much I'll spray paint "I'm Ignorant" on the car you already have.

I happen to find old cars pretty cool. I know you're probably too busy with the executive job you got after going to Michigan to have a hobby and enjoy yourself, so your distaste is understandable.

I am a pretty big deal...
You consider a 1985 Olds Calais to be a cool old car? I think my little brother has a 1991 Ford Probe for sale, I bet he'll give you a good deal.

Only the upper crust like me drink American beer from a can.

It's not what you drink, it's how you drink it.

I've got a 1988 Pontiac 6000. The thing is fine shape. It's a nice two-tone brown.

In high school I drove a 1985 Pontiac 6000 Station Wagon with woody sides. That car sucked.

Lady I worked with loved the old style bugs and found one that was painted like a Michigan Helmet. Ran good and the paint job was actually really good. Funny thing was her husband was a state fun.
