No, long story short my sister had a flight delayed and needed my YTTV streaming slot to kill time at the airport.

There's this weird issue with Owncast (the software the I use for the streams on the Linux box) where the entire domain/hosting portion isn't active unless the stream is active. Hence the 403 on the stream.mgocrazy.com URL until the stream is active. Not a big deal.

Bigger announcement though is that I'm not going to subsidize doing basketball/hockey streams this upcoming season. The VPS costs me $70/month, BTN+ costs me $10/month, domain name, carving out a slot for YTTV costs me $25/month in opportunity cost. Basically this is a $1500/year operation all said and done. I setup donations on Gumroad but I've gotten only a fraction of that YTD. Granted I haven't really advertised/requested donations all that heavily this season (mostly focused on getting the streaming operations right/flawless, which took me about six games into the season) but I'm willing to subsidize football, but I'm not going to subsidize basketball/hockey.

Maybe next year during the football season I'll advertise more for donations while the stream is going during commercial breaks so we can build up a reserve for basketball & hockey for the 2023-2024 season.

Well all the work is very helpful for us who don't like in the US cable cutters. Do you have any idea how many viewers you get per Saturday? I would donate a few $ for my past usage. I am sure a few others would too. Might be a no-no on MGoblog to ask for donations, but maybe you could put it up on your stream or on mgocrazy or a subpage.

Might start using the bally+ app.  Directv stream apps on both roku and fire tv are garbage.  Constantly have to restart and have sound issues.  No other app gives me any trouble.  Even with paying $20 for bally+ it's still less expensive when combined with hulu live or youtubetv compared with directv.

Anyone have experience with bally+?

For me, the app will not shut down when I exit. It minimizes to a smaller window & constantly requires me to go into settings on my Fire TV, applications, manage applications, force stop, clear cache. Rinse, repeat.

Could not get the Pistons game on the other night even after logging out, clearing cache, clearing data, logging back on with password. I even uninstalled & reinstalled the app.

Amazon and Google both skimp on ram and CPU for their streaming devices. My parents had a Firestick 4K and it just randomly craps out sometimes. My Chromecast 4K lags like hell on navigating through menus.

I’ve tried a Roku Ultra 2022 and an Apple TV 2022 and things have run well. I gave my parents the Roku to replace the Firestick 4K

Bally Sports is terrible and I refuse to pay $20/mo. For there crappy coverage.  They could stream holograms into my living room and I wouldn't pay for it. I hope they die a quick, but painful, death. Whatever comes next will be better by default. That is all.
