OT: Attn MGoBloggers in DC
So I will be in the Washington DC area this Saturday. I checked the UM Bars list (utilized resources!) and plan to watch the game at Buffalo Billiards in the DuPont area. Any suggestions on how early to arrive before the game to get a table? Does it fill up quick? Thanks for the help guys.

Early for the ND game. There will be a lot of people there for the noon games, but I'd say by 2 at the latest for anything approximating a good spot.

BTW, there was like nobody at Bailey's in Arlington this weekend. A drag...the AA website still lists them as the official gamewatch location for NoVA but I didn't see the banner or the M crowd. Still made some new pals though.

I've not noticed any true M Bars in DC.
I currently live in Centreville which is a bit West of the city, and there is a Velocity 5 there that I would not mind creating a pro-UM atmosphere. It was empty this past Saturday, and I'm sure a little business would make them happy as well.

Buffalo Billiards in Dupont is regularly packed with several hundred (at least) Michigan fans, and significantly more for the big games. It is without question a Michigan bar on game days.

Isn't the Pourhouse an M bar? It was a few years ago- did they stop?

There are still a few UM folks that come in but by no means in numbers. If UF isn't playing I watch OSU there sometimes because I don't like going to Georgetown for asses to elbows Rino Bar.

I was there on Saturday and it was awesome. Tons of Michigan fans and alumni. I got there at 2 and had no problem finding a seat, but it filled up pretty quickly after that. I'd say 1:30 would be a really safe bet, and you can catch the second half of the noon games.

I graduated from Michigan in '06 and moved to DC to help open a bar/restaurant called the Liberty Tavern in Clarendon. Naturally, we show the Michigan games, with sound, and offer aggressive specials on premium canned beer (last week we had 21st Amendment's Black IPA and Oskar Blue's Pilsner) and food. It's a cool atmosphere and a great place to watch the game.
Also, I'm a long-time lurker on the message boards and full-time reader of the site. Though this may seem like spam, its not. Now just seemed like the appropriate time to register and post an alternative (and Michigan-run) bar in DC.
Let me know if you're going to swing by and I'll set you up with a round on the house...
