...tragedy, and especially as the flight was a medical mercy flight to the Mayo Clinic.

I'm sorry to hear about your family's connection to two of the victims.  I'm sure this will be tough on your community.

I work in Alma Schools where he was the Superintendent.  My day started off with an email that he was off to mayo clinic for further treatment for an ongoing health issue, by the afternoon I was surfing the internet trying to find out more information on rescue attempts and possible survivors.  All of the victims of this disaster were prominent and universally revered members of our community. They will be sorely missed by all.  Please keep their families in your thoughts and prayers.

lived my whole life in the Alma area and was sad to see this news break yesterday. Although I don't personally know the people involved, we have mutual friends. My prayers go out to the families. This small community is in shock today.

It's sad these types of flights go down a lot. Pilots are rushed and don't check everything on there walk around. Sometimes they go down because they run out of fuel, oil dipstick wasnt screwed in all the way. I hate to so it but it will most likely come back pilot error if they can find the plane. Im not saying this is okay or good but it just really bothers me that some guys will just forget things because they are rushed.
