Seriously. Every day it's something different, everyone trying to get a cheap shot on us. Teams I wouldn't mind dropping 40-50+ points on, ala Michigan v. spartina 2002

really, nothing would please me more this year than to just totally annhilate these teams. the rest, 2-3 touchdowns would be fine.

You'd like to beat our four biggest rivals by a lot of points? I don't know man. Personally, I'd like to lose to Sparty, beat PSU by 3, tie ND and lose in OT, and beat OSU by a safety on the final play of the game. Sounds way more entertaining. Also, "slaughtering" them will never shut them up.

Someone who is more inclined could probably make a dairy entry on the fan psyche with the whole bragging rights/trash talking thing. I think people can justify their favorite team's current situation in a rivalry, or really against any particular team/conference, whether it is positive or negative. Part of the experience, and we do it too!

Hasn't OSU kind of earned the right to a bit of smack talk at this point? On the other hand, PSU people have to pose as Buckeyes to get a word in. Outside of the state of Michigan, Sparty is largely irrelevant. It's hard for me to feel any ill will for their invisible grads.

I'm with Karpodiem. All the whining, all the trash talking, all the "Rod is a slimeball, Rod is all about the money, You guys can never win with the spread, blah, blah, blah." I just said in another thread, I'm all about branding people right the fuck now. Who's in, who's out? We should not just beat them, but DESTROY them. No mercy for the next 5 years. Run it up like Oklahoma, and then let them whine even more. They thought we were arrogant assholes before? Three years from now when I take out a billboard saying "I told you so" in every one of their cities then they'll know arrogant.

With Detroit media being so negative toward UM, if Rich Rod starts blowing out teams like he did at WV, the media will still come down hard on him, saying that a "Michigan Man" would have respect for his opponents and not try to embarrass them. With all the negative articles coming out of Detroit media, it's no wonder why Lloyd Carr didn't give a **** about them.
