I think it's kind of moot at this point.  The writing is on the wall; Tressel will resign after the season is over, before the NCAA investigation rules, and his past violations will not matter at that point.  Since the notice of violations by the NCAA are focused on Tressel himself, OSU will escape any major penalties, and a smooth coaching transition will take place at the end of the season.  What we can hope for a prolonged limbo period where the black cloud hangs over OSU with uncertainty over penalties.

Reminds me of the Bill Murray movie Groundhogs Day.  The day remains the same only the names have changed.   Insert Terrelle Pryor and Ted Sarniak and what do you get.  Isaac & Clarett all over again with their PIMPS.  Tre$$el is a SOCIOPATH and the NCAA needs to grow a pair and take him down!

If tweasel is still employed at the august hearing, ohio state is getting the hammer. there's a reason schools shit can lying cheating coaches before their meeting with the COI. So far the administration has blindly supported him and as far as we all know for now, he will still be the coach when the meeting occurs. I can't wait, this gets better every day.

As one who is slow to tire of this topic, I found the article very interesting because the pattern of behavior in the 2004 Clarett piece seems quite similar to what we're seeing now.

The money quote:

"Yet even when questions about Clarett became public, Tressel seemed to barely notice bombs dropping in his midst. He astounded reporters at the Big Ten media day before the 2003 season when, asked for his response to a New York Times story 13 days earlier about alleged academic fraud involving Clarett, Tressel responded that he hadn't read it. "Bits and pieces," he said at the time. Then, more than three months after the April break-in of Clarett's loaner car that piqued the NCAA's interest, Tressel declined comment on that situation, too, because he hadn't read that report.

Ultimately, no NCAA violations were found in either of the above situations. As for the Dellimuti-related violations, Ohio State avoided the potential penalty of game forfeitures from the national title season by arguing that school officials were unaware of those gifts back then. People with ties to Clarett, though, find that contention hard to swallow.

"C'mon," Myke Clarett said. "Tressel is acting like Sergeant Schultz.""

For those of you who have skipped on reading this, I highly suggest you take a few minutes and skim through it. It re-reveals all kinds of issues that people glossed over because of recent national championship.

I personally am tired of the tressel crap polluting the mgoboard (just fire the guy already), but this is really worth reading.

but since this is on a closely related topic and I do not have enough points to start a thread,  I thought this rivals article was an interesting take on the draft and the vest .

Not only does it highlight the undrafted players, including Boren, it has a take on President Gee and the Vest issue. This was already discussed in the Gordon Gee having zero tolerence thread, but it does have an interesting take on President Gee's Silence thus far.
