Odds on someone not getting your joke.

MichFan, perhaps if you explained the joke we could all understand why it's funny. For example, identify the situation the joke refers to, the irony involved (if any) and why the irony is humorous vis-a-via the situation.
Then we can go back to your original comment with our newfound understanding of the joke, and take part in common merriment over the same. It will be funnier that way.
[P.S. - I did actually get it the first time. Kudos to you, sir.]

On the plus side, thanks to "this," the media has finally stopped talking about the many offseason "scandals" that accompanied RR's arrival in Ann Arbor. My favorite was how we lost a recruiting battle for Terrelle Pryor. How scandalous! And did they ever determine how many sheets of paper RR shredded, and whether he refilled the ink cartridges in the WVU printers before he left?

'05-'06 season was referred to as "The year of infinite pain"
And we have a name for 2008... "This" or in the future, simply, "That" Referring to it as vaguely as possible.

Vagueness is the way to go from here out when referring to that thing.

This kind of reminds me of how North Carolina somehow won the 1993 Mens BB title by playing nobody in the national title game.

I'm sorry, I thought we just completed the longest Spring Game in history.. you know the official one got rained out in March, so RR just thought we should extend it out for 13 weeks....
