Ocho Cinco v. Revis Island
If anyone here follows Chad Ochocinco and Darrelle Revis on Twitter, I'm sure you've been noticing all of the recent friendly trash talk between the two. Most of it is coming from Ochocinco, of course, but all of it is pretty entertaining. I am really excited to see this matchup play out on Sunday. Ochocinco is one of the top receivers in the NFL, and one could argue that Revis is the best corner in the league. How does everybody see this matchup playing out? (Assuming that Cincy doesn't bench their starters).

Revis is definitely top three, but personal bias forces me to say Charles Woodson is #1 with Asomugha and Revis as the other two top guys.

I have Michigan and Jets bias, so its hard for me to say that either woodson or revis is the best without discrediting the other. I agree that those are definitely the top 3 though.

I think Revis shuts him down. I predict Ocho Cinco gets about 3 catches for 40 yards, no TD's.
Revis has looked great against better receivers than Chad this year. Moss had a 2 yard touchdown, but not much else. Andre Johnson had a disappointing day against him on the first game of the season. I'll take Revis over Chad any day.

But can he beat a horse in a foot race?

probably not, but neither could Ochocinco. He had a head start.

Well I'm not going to put much into the game this weekend. Bengals don't have much to play for, they already have homefield in the first round. And this might be a possible first round matchup, so Cincy doesn't have much incentive to show a whole bunch in this game. The starters will be resting after the third quarter IMO.

Woodson and Leon Hall are the two best cover corners IMO. Revis is good, no doubt, but usually when Chad talks shit, he backs it up. IF he plays, he will get the best of Revis. I think Hall not getting named to pro bowl is ridiculous, though. I don't think a Jets WR will have over 50 yards at games end. Just my epinion.

Week 1: Andre Johnson 4 catches, 35 yds
Week 2: Randy Moss 4 catches, 24 yds
Week 6: Terrell Owens 3 catches, 13 yds
Week 11: Randy Moss 5 catches, 34 yds, 1 TD
Week 12: Steve Smith (Carolina) 1 catch, 5 yds
Week13: Terrell Owens 3 catches, 31 yds
Week 15: Roddy White 4 catches 33 yds
Week 16: Reggie Wayne 3 catches 33 yds (1 half)
What makes you think he will have any trouble with Chad Ochocinco? He's no better than anyone Revis has played against this season. Only difference is he has a bigger mouth.

Reggie Wayne actually beat Revis a couple times. Peyton just couldn't hit him. I think Chad can beat him on a couple deep ones.

Boy do I regret starting some of those receivers on my Fantasy team against the Revis black hole.
Your post aside, the lack of motivation for the Bengals to actually win the game (clinched AFC North, no chance of getting 1st Round Bye) probably won't bode well for Ocho Cinco's numbers.

there is no reason, unless he needs certain stats to get a mark or something. If he does play, 2 catches for 24 yards.

is very close to 10,000 yards for his career and wants to get it this season. I forget exactly how much - maybe 60-70 yards...
I think the bengals will scheme up a way to make it happen, then sit him after he passes the mark.

Ochocinco for no other reason is you have to love it. He brings a lot of entertainment to the league, yet their so ungrateful.
