I thought (hoped) cramp at first but him being carried off the field dashed those hopes. It's probably a muscle pull. Hard to envision it being any sort of tear because his stride didn't appear awkward when it happened. I am pessimistically optimistic of his return for game 3.

Dom Clementi should be the guy. He won the B1G batting title last year, but has been hampered by an injury this season. He'll probably step back into the outfield next year if Brewer signs with Houston. He was/is a very good ball player.

This kind of injury sucks and can take a while to recover from. Had the same thing happen to me my senior year and ended up in a cycle of rehab and coming back too early and reinjuring for a couple months. Wishing him the best.

Yeah, as the DH, if the injury wasn't serious he would have come back into the game his next time up.

Non-contact injuries are always the scariest. On first glance, I thought he went over the first baseman. Then I got scared when I saw him pull up out of nowhere. Hopefully it's a pull/strain but I fear there's some sort of tear involved since he couldn't put any weight on it. Regardless, he won't be in tonight. Best of luck and get well soon to him, but next man up in the lineup
