New in-state offer: 2022 ATH Alex VanSumeren

I'm a little surprised this hasn't been mentioned on the MGoBoard yet, but...well...maybe I'm the only one who mentions stuff like this:

Alex VanSumeren, the younger brother of Ben, got an offer from Michigan a few days ago. He's a 6'3", 265 lb. kid whose only other offer so far is from CMU. He had 83 tackles and 9 sacks as a freshman last season. Some places list him as a TE/DE, but it looks to me like he'll end up being a defensive tackle.

Here's a link to his highlights (LINK).

Jeebus he is already larger than 95+%, if not more, of the kids he will face and is only a Freshman. This seems a good instance where the kid would be better off moving to a larger school so he can develop and not just rely on pure strength and size to beat everyone.

rumblin, bumblin, stumblin, he could, go, all, the, way!

loved that rpo where he scored.  great size.  i'm sure strength and quickness will follow.  that is one huge frosh.

The highlight lists him at 240 lbs, but it doesn't really matter. Any 14 year old who's a solid 6'3" is a monster of a human.

These are the guys we need to be recruiting. Big corn fed athletes like JJ Watt. Bring them in and figure out the position later. Especially the ones who bleed Maize n Blue from birth.
