New college football video game being developed by a startup company

Submitted by MichiganStephen on

A small company in Alabama founded by two brothers is going to try to bring to market a college football game to be released in 2019. They'll be starting a Kickstarter campaign on September 2nd. Although I'm skeptical with regards to video games on Kickstarter (Mighty No. 9, OUYA, etc.) it would be neat to see a refreshed college football game.

Here is the link.

0% chance this game delivers the goods. Two dudes and a kickstarter just dont have the resources. Could they reproduce Tecmo Super Bowl type action? Yes. Start there, guys.

God luck to them.  Another company tried it some time ago on KS and couldn't get funding; NCAA basically said they'd shut them down if they didn't stay super-generic, at which point you are getting a generic football game that is worse than just imagining Madden with different jerseys.

Something new would be great.

The gameplay for NCAA Footbal14 has gotten a little old.

My personal favorite is NCAA 2006 with all of the music in the background and of course also has the 2005 Texas Longhorns

didn't EA tease more NCAA football a couple months ago by posting like a cardiograph picture/gif acting like there was a pulse on the NCAA football facebook page or did that end up being nothing?
