We get UMD, winner gets North Dakota/American International.
Games in Fargo.
I just don’t want to see Minnesota until the frozen four.
Got my wish, I guess
Fargo! Yes!
UMD Bulldogs! $@&#!!
Rough draw for 2 seed M. Fargo regional vs 3 seed UMD opposite the #1 overall seed NoDak
ND 4 seed, bit of a shock
Probably the team in for St. Lawrence?
According to twitter, yes
They will probably trap their way to a championship now.
They should've created a play in game for Notre Dame and Denver for the ratings.
the committee had six members this year, PSU was the big ten rep, but they had an advisory committee of another six because of the covid situation and Jeff Jackson was on that, so you could definitely see him advocating for ND, however the committee chair apparently is from Omaha and they were the last team out after St. Lawrence withdrew.
This is not going to be easy, but never is
Tough bracket to make the frozen four. If this team plays to their potential though I like their chances this year
Well, you can’t expect to play cupcakes in the tournament but this seems like a tough draw. Selection committee didn’t do us any favors.
Unless you're Wisconsin.
As much as I love Michigan athletics, I'm a North Dakota grad so I'll have to go with my alma mater. Tough bracket though.
Went to see UM play in the Frozen Four in Minny a few years back. We won the 1st game against North Dakota and we actually had Sioux fans threaten to kill us. Fun group.
Yeah, every team has a portion of their fanbase that are idiots. It’s the same for North Dakota as it is for Michigan, Ohio State, Florida, insert any other team.
Game times are 4 PM on Friday and 6:30 PM on Saturday. Both games are on ESPNU.

Seems like a tough bracket but I haven't been paying much attention to the other conferences. It seems like we always lose to UMD and UND.
Yeesh... looking at those other regionals it seems M got about the worst draw they could have.
People still pissed about Yost 25 years later but ND goes to Fargo seemingly annually.
A whole thread talking about a "tough draw" for us in the same Message Board pane as one ripping Illinois for being upset about playing a Kenpom Top-10 8-Seed?
Only one thing to be said about this draw: THUMBS UP, LET'S GO!
we both can be true right, you can criticize UI for complaining and still say UM got a tough draw, reason it's a tough draw is because the regional is in Fargo, not too far from NoDak's campus.

I think you can acknowledge having a tough draw without complaining and making excuses. It’s tough, but in a 16 team tournament it’s always going to BE tough. Getting the #1 overall seed and the highest 3 seed sucks, but you’re going to have to beat good teams to win the title anyway.
The #1 overall seed should get the highest 3 seed in an S curve format. 1, 8,9, and 16 seed would be in the same regional. 9 overall equals highest 3 seed. What was Michigan overall rank? If it wasn't 8 then yes that is a tough draw.
Worst case scenario for me.
