Now that is pretty interesting. My contention has been that he has more dirt that the NCAA does not want out there. This does not disabuse that notion.

Mars:  I got dirt on you guys for days.  I could probably get you shut down by the Feds.

NCAA:  Whoa hold on there buddy .... I mean let's try to talk this out [slowly setting large bags of cash on the table]

Mars: What .... what are you ....

NCAA:  Shhhhhhh [puts more bags on money on the table]

Mars:  Oh, yea.  I see.  Yea, nice talk.  I guess I'll see you in the office on Monday [shredding incriminating documents with one hand while grabbing the bags of cash with the other]

NCAA:  [slowly nods]

Voice from Outside the Room: FBI!  Open up!

Mars (to FBI Agent): Here’s the wire.

TWO DAYS LATER

Court Officer:  All rise. The United States District Court for the District of Columbia is now in session, the Honorable Judge Amy Berman Jackson* presiding.

That's a good hire for them. Maybe they can start cleaning up college athletics. I know wishful thinking.

I've seen this before.

It works real well till Mars realizes the NCAA has no intention of cleaning things up vs just damage control, and when the NCAA realizes Mars has no interest in just taking a paycheck to go away.
