Najee Chronicles Series

Submitted by Ponypie on

I can't recall seeing this series posted. It's an ongoing spotlight on Najee Harris, both a personal narrative and a focus on his recruitment, appearing in the San Fransisco Chronicle. Sixth installment came out about a week ago.

The articles reveal a humble, determined, team-oriented player who seems to have the kind of character and talent that would greatly add to the Harbaugh-itocricy. OK, that's a serious understatement.

Maybe even better, a commitment would be a beautiful poke in the Alabama eye.

Come on down, Mr. Harris.

I'm personally not banking on Walker at this point. He looked really rough in all American games and spring. If he improves a ton it will be a nice surprise. Still glad to see we are going after other great RBs and anything we get out of Walker is a bonus

Walker is a very good prospect, and since we haven't seen him play yet we certainly don't know how it'll all turn out. He could be legendary.

But based on the data we've seen SO FAR, Harris is much more of an instant impact, can't miss prospect than Walker.

Akers probably has better flat-out speed, but I was much more impressed with Harris's tough running in traffic—he doesn't go down on first contact, and that's an understatement. He's got more juking in him than most guys that big as well.
