LONG OVERDUE
Music at the stadium
I sat next to the band, and the amplified sound sucked. I couldn't hear either one clearly.
Nice though to see a reduction in the RAWK music.

I spent the whole game hoping they would turn it off. It sounded terrible. I sat near the band.
The only way I could see it working would be if the speakers were right next to the band. The speed of sound is finite, and the stadium is big.
This.
I was in section 1 and I was not at all pleased with the amp results.
"the Spirit of Michigan...is based on a deathless loyalty to Michigan and all her ways....and a conviction that nowhere is there a better university, in any way, than this Michigan of ours" - Fielding Yost
Did the crowd break out in a rendition of "Don't Stop Believing"?
of the wind. We were directly across from the band and I thought the amplification was awesome! The wind, however, made it sound like it cut in and out. I think on a calm day we will be very happy with the sound. No complaints from section 43.

I was section 11 and the band sounded awesome. The last couple games I didnt even know they were playing unless looking at them.
I was in 36 in north endzone and it was obviously really loud on our end. Have family directly across from us in sec 10 and they also said the "amplified" band sounded great all the way across the stadium.
The fact that the band played 98% of the time compared to RAWK was a great improvement over last season.
It's obviously the first time they've been mic'd up so they need to work on fine tuning it. Overall, I think it's good that everyone can hear it. The people who sit near the band kind of get screwed with the delay though.
Blues Brothers: All right, but the crowd wasn't really that into it.
Teaching the stadium Jack Johnson Sr.'s dance = One of the best things I've ever seen. Please make this a venerable Michigan tradition!!!
lol. I know many of you think saying 'Rawk' is the funniest thing on earth, but it gets the crowd fired up. Play some ACDC and see how loud that place gets. We need to incorporate more music into the games. Simple as that.
While I was out of the country and therefore had to miss the opener, it's great news to hear that Jock Jamz were reduced. I prefer calling it "Jock Jamz" instead of "Rawk"...it's a more accurate phrase. Of course, "shitty Irish pub music" could work at times (see, for example, "Sweet Caroline"). Then again, some people think that piping in music gets the place loud. Don't those people know that it's more than a bit embarrassing to have a Neil Diamond sing-a-long at a football game?

in the student section up behind the band there is a clear delay, but I liked the loudness
